Painting
A graduate of the University of TX Neil received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in painting and drawing. Upon graduation, he began selling his art to private collections in Houston, TX, New Orleans, Asolo Italy, and Santa Barbara CA. His paintings were displayed in the Joslyn Museum of Art in Omaha, Nebraska.
Since 1999, his work has been shown in galleries and restaurants, including the Upperline in New Orleans, the Bay City Grill in Bay St. Louis, Ms., the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and Sullivan’s Gallery in Palmetto, FL, The Red Door Gallery in North Little Rock Arkansas, Maggie Mays in Bay St Louis Ms. and several New Orleans galleries.
Neil was selected to participate in Hearts for Art, a night for Arkansas to support Mississippi Katrina Artists at the Clinton Library in No. Little Rock. Neil has participated in an exhibit at the Fingerhut Gallery in Sausalito, Ca. in conjunction with the Walter Anderson Museum. His work has been juried into shows in Washington DC in Georgetown, Rome GA, New Bedford, Ma, Alexandria, VA New Harmony IA., Doylestown PA, Southern Pines NC, as well as other shows throughout the country.
His works includes New Orleans Jazz paintings, landscapes, and portraits.
