Watercolor and Ceramics
Janie Koch has loved art since she was a child. Watercolor is her favorite medium.
In 1997 she won the Biloxi Seafood Festival Poster Contest and winning the Bay Bridgefest Poster Contest was a real thrill. In 2006 her entry was chosen for the closing ceremony for the Army Corp of Engineers and they used it on the cake, program and t-shirts.
She likes to paint on bisque to fire in her kiln.
She and Connie Heitzmann have a book they did together called Gulf Coast Memory Scrapbook in which you can find Janie's and many other local artists' work.
Janie has her art in local shops and you can find her at local festivals.
