The Alice Moseley Folk Art & Antique Museum honors nationally acclaimed idyllic folk artist Alice Moseley and features 43 of her original works. Visitors can enjoy a video of Miss Alice where she discusses her paintings and how she used acrylic paint to illustrate her imaginative stories. Alice Moseley’s paintings are both historical and inspirational; they recorded the past as the she chose to remember it with colors and attitudes much brighter than the South during the Great Depression through the pre-civil rights years of the 1950’s. Miss Alice’s little blue Creole cottage is also home to an unique collection of Majolica pottery, Americana pottery and Art Glass.
