Kat Fitzpatrick is an artist and teacher whose love for beeswax (an art medium known as encaustic) has led her down an unusual path. Since becoming enchanted by the ancient process eight years ago, her interest in bees has grown to the point of tending hives in her yard.
Her classroom experience as well as a Masters in Teaching in Art has led her to develop a series of classes for the “artistically challenged”.

Kat Fitzpatrick has been featured on MPB’s “Southern Expressions” and was recently awarded a prestigious fellowship in painting by the Mississippi Arts Commission.
