Kay Gough and son Edward opened Bay Books in September 2006. “We celebrate every step of progress that has been made here,” says Kay, “and we’ve got a bird’s eye view right here on Main Street.” The Gough’s began with a goal of promoting the commercial rebuilding of Old Town. “We host book signings, promote local authors and poets. We display the beautiful art of John and Tricia McDonald and the superb chair caning of Jo Rusin. Bringing back the artistic community of Bay St. Louis is a worthwhile effort and we’re glad to be doing our part.”
